At 400 lines, the post doesn’t seem to buckle right away — reassuring, at least. The automatic language detection worked for me most of the time with the short example, but with longer or mixed code blocks, I’d be curious to see whether it eventually starts guessing.

I’d also find an option to collapse longer blocks, or at least display line numbers, useful. Otherwise, when scrolling through a lot of code, it’s easy to lose your place — like searching for a missing bracket at three in the morning.

For mixed code blocks, I wouldn’t blindly trust automatic detection—in that case, an optional language specification is probably more reliable. Especially with broken code, detection can also be completely off.

Line numbers would be really useful for longer snippets, and collapsible sections even more so. Otherwise, “just quickly look for the missing bracket” can easily turn into a full-blown archaeological excavation. It would be interesting to test whether 400 lines are rendered cleanly even with special characters, long lines, and intentionally faulty code.
